Police Rescue Wife After She Writes "Help" on a Drive-Thru Receipt

On February 11, 2025, Travis Halverson — a 47-year-old Bowling Green, Kentucky man with a documented history of domestic strangulation and a prior misdemeanor domestic violence conviction — abducted his estranged wife at gunpoint from outside the dental office where she worked as a hygienist, forced her into the passenger seat of his pickup truck, and drove east on the Cumberland Parkway toward rural Edmonson County, telling her they were going somewhere quiet to 'fix this.'
