Approaching thunderstorm in Hatfield, Hertfordshire 23/6/26

A short video of a storm approaching Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Apologies for the background noise, in particular the coughing and spluttering of my neighbours who spotted me recording and deliberately started making stupid noises. (Crap neighbours FTW 🙄) This storm didn’t actually hit us properly, the wind direction changed from the south to the west and consequently blew it away from us in the end. Parts of London and Greater London would see the worst of the storms, which in the end were part of a fairly lively cluster of thunderstorms that dropped over 29,000 lightning strikes during the early hours of the morning. This coming just hours before the sweltering heatwave conditions kicked in. Video shot on iPhone X Pro
