He is an active member of the ACA breeders group (Austrian Carnica Association / Austrian Karnik Association), the authorized leader in the Steiermark region and the head of the two mountain flyers of the ACA group - Bretstein and Pusterwald. The ACA group was founded in 1992 and its main goal is continuous breeding work to improve the Apis mellifera carnica bee in its original “home” region of origin and in the world market. Annually, ASA tests about 1,500 families, and about 70% of families out of this number measure and record VSH indicators
