Weapon Sway And Bobbing Without Animations - #Unity Tutorial
Adding procedural sway and bobbing is a very easy way to add some "juice" to any first person game. In this video I show you how to set it up with a few simple functions - which is a significantly easier method than setting up an animator and animations to try and achieve a similar effect. As I've worked on developing my own unity game, I've seen quite a few videos covering the "sway" part of the equation. Comparatively few, however, show how the bobbing works aside from saying sine waves are used to achieve the effect. In Privateer Dev Log 08 I show off the first version of this which I was happy with, but it still needed some work. I went ahead and made this tutorial as an excuse to go back and rework it to both be better and make more sense at a glance. Thanks to @janikcodes for the suggestion to make this video.
