Grass Fire Training-Fire Dozers, Fire Engines, And More!
On June 19, 2020, crews from CalFire’s Nevada Yuba Placer Unit (NEU) and the Placer County Fire Department (a CalFire contract department) conducted a training burn in unincorporated Placer County near the City of Lincoln. 115 acres were burned, with the intent to train county volunteer firefighters, Conservation Corp hand crews from Placer Camp, and new NEU dozer operators.
