Seaford - идеальный пляж… но нас чуть НЕ ОГРАБИЛИ 😳 | 50 минут от Мельбурна
In this vlog, I head to Seaford, a cozy coastal spot just 50 minutes from Melbourne by metro. I had a great time and discovered a beautiful, tranquil beach with a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered delicious calamari and chips and had a small lunch right by the ocean—a true Australian vibe! In this video, I'll show you what the beach looks like, we'll stroll along the pier, and enjoy the views and atmosphere of the place. But there was an unpleasant moment. A group of teenagers started following us and tried to take my camera. Luckily, my husband intervened in time and protected me. Overall, the experience was very good, although a slight aftertaste remains. Despite this, I'd happily return—I'll just be more careful next time. #seaford #Melbourne #Australia #melbourne #LifeinAustralia #melbournelife 🌿 1. Indigenous Lands Before the arrival of Europeans, this area belonged to the Bunurong people, a group of the Kulin people. They lived here for thousands of years, using the coast and wetlands for fishing and food gathering. 🚂 2. The railway brought life to the area Intensive development began after the opening of the Frankston railway line in the late 19th century. It was the railway that made Seaford accessible to Melburnians and turned it into a popular seaside destination. 🏖️ 3. Weekend Resort In the early 20th century, Seaford became a true "resort" for Melburnians. People came here for weekends to swim, relax, and picnic on the beach. It was a quieter and more affordable option compared to St. Kilda. 🪵 4. Wetlands and Ecosystem Nearby are the unique Seaford Wetlands, one of the few remaining natural wetland systems near the city. These areas were once considered "useless," but today they are a protected area with a rich flora and fauna. 🏘️ 5. Post-War Development After World War II, the area began to undergo rapid development—many families moved here from central Melbourne in search of a quieter life by the sea. Seaford then became a residential suburb. 🌊 6. One of the "cleanest" beaches in the bay The Seaford beaches are considered some of the most natural and less developed in the Port Phillip Bay area. They retain dunes and natural landscapes, something that has largely disappeared from more popular destinations. Seaford still retains the atmosphere of a "hidden spot," a favorite among those seeking to escape the crowds—which is why it often feels less touristy than other Melbourne beaches.
