Meron is a tiny town situated on a mountain, near the city of Tzfat, in Galilee, (northern Israel/Palestine), hosting the tombs of some of the most famous rabbinic figures as Hillel, Shammai, and Shimon Bar Yochai. Every year, on Lag B'Omer - the 33rd day of the counting of the Omer - about a million Jews, from ultra-orthodox to secular, meet to celebrate one of the biggest parties in Israel with singing, dancing, and bonfire.
