Wakatipu - The Long Lake (1954)

Beautiful treatment of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding district. The old-gold rush days are recalled at Arrowtown and Macetown, in contrast with the scheelite mining, harvesting, and sheep farming of to-day. A trip to Kinloch by lake steamer takes visitors to the Routeburn Valley, and fine aerial photography shows the surrounding mountains, and Coronet Peak, where skiers are racing in the winter sun.
