Isle of Lewis | Outer Hebrides' White Sand Beaches: Scotland

On our final full day on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland 's Outer Hebrides, we make the most of the unusual warm weather + blue skies and explore 3 beautiful white sand beaches in Uig: 1. Uig Sands with its huge area of sand that feels like it will never end. 2. Mangersta Beach with its surf waves and coastal sea cliffs 3. And finally, Reef Beach, a long expansive white sand beach with calm waters perfect for swimming in. Uig Sands is where the Isle of Lewis Chessmen or Isle of Lewis Chess set was discovered, though sadly, aside from a token statue, there's nothing else there to hint at this. The pieces have been housed in museums in Edinburgh and London.
