Movie, but with a ton of new ideas, characters, and story moments that go way beyond the film. This game adds fresh scenes, rewritten dialogue, new locations, and even cut concepts that never made it to the screen. You can explore 14 main worlds (plus 2 bonus worlds) with over 100 levels, take on unique bosses, and switch between 6 playable characters—each with their own moves, stages, and power-ups. The game also includes new areas like Sarasaland, Luigi’s expanded story, and even an adventure on Yoshi’s Island. There are karts, rocket barrels, Koopa Clown Cars, and even Plessie-style rides, along with a full multiplayer mode that lets a friend race through campaign levels using a special key-controller setup. If that’s not enough, there’s a huge Challenge Mode with 90 missions across all characters, plus unlockable rewards and ongoing post-launch content like Time Trials, Coin Rush, Tour Mode, and new missions.
