St Helens vs Leeds - Championship - 1994/95

St Helens play Leeds at Knowsley Road in the Rugby League championship season of 1994/95. Some fine kicking from Bonnie Goulding helped Saints win the territory battle in between some trademark open rugby helped open up Leeds on the outside for tries for Alan Hunte and Anthony Sullivan. Leeds had come off the back of a 49-6 hiding by Australia in the week as the Aussies progressed through their preparations for their opening match at Wembley. The Saints completed a regular-season double over Leeds later that year with a 31-20 victory at Headingley. Leeds did extract a measure of revenge in the Premier Trophy, knocking Saints out in the Semi-Final before suffering a 69-12 trouncing by Wigan at Old Trafford.
