Tandberg model 8 demonstration

Introduced in 1962 (not 1960 as erroneously stated in the video), the Tandberg model 8 was a very popular tube based mono recorder. Available in different versions over the years, as well as in both 2 and 4 track configurations, it was a very common recorder both in home use and in institutions such as schools. This particular machine is in the slightly rarer gray/pale yellow color scheme rather than the more common dark/light gray. The rounded corners indicate that this a model from the first series; the exact model number is 842, the '4' standing for the number of tracks, and the '2' indicating a portable machine with rounded corners.
