Classic Lakers and the Last Loads to Rouge Steel

In July 2025, Cleveland-Cliffs Dearborn Works was idled. Formerly known as the Rouge Works, this massive, century-old facility was used to produce steel for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. In this video, we followed three Interlake Maritime Services freighters down the Detroit River, with two navigating the Rouge River, bound for the steel mill. Featured vessels include Kaye E. Barker, Herbert C. Jackson, and James R. Barker.
