I traveled from Nairobi to Mombasa by SGR Train and spent two days exploring the city and its surroundings. I visited Maasai Beach, Mombasa Town, and Big Tree Beach, and I had a wonderful time swimming, sunbathing, and taking in the sights and sounds of this amazing place. Mombasa is a city of contrasts, with a fascinating mix of cultures and influences. It is home to the Fort Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the Mombasa Old Town.
