How can you get that modern, handleless look that so many people want in the kitchens and bathroom cabinets these days? This short video from The Honest Carpenter--in collaboration with Lynnwood Builders--will explain the hardware that you need to achieve it?! Here's How To Get HANDLELESS CABINETS!! ("No-Handle" Custom Modern Cabinets--Hardware Explained!) In order to have a handleless cabinet assembly, you still need some way of operating the cabinets. Keep in mind, this does not include a lip or bar for opening the cabinets doors or drawers! To get this look, Lynnwood Builders and Sunnyside Millwork use a combination of custom drawer slides and door hinges. The drawer slides are a Blum product that allows for push-to-open and soft-close functions. These two capabilities really work against one another, so Blum's hardware is engineered to smoothly allow for both. For push-to-open cabinet doors, Lynnwood uses Salice hinges, which have loaded springs that open the door to about 75%. They then use high-quality door magnets for the close-and-latch function.
