Actor Ryo Yoshizawa attended a women-only talk event for the film "Wolf Girl and Black Prince" (directed by Ryuichi Hiroki, released on the 28th) held in Tokyo on May 10th. Yoshizawa, who plays the soothing, bespectacled Kusakabe Yui, who secretly has a crush on high school girl Erika, played by Fumi Nikaido, confessed about his high school days, "I was like Kusakabe. The film is a live-action adaptation of Ayuko Hatta's popular manga, currently serialized in "Bessatsu Margaret" (Shueisha), starring Fumi Nikaido and Kento Yamazaki. Shinohara Erika (Nikaido), who has just entered high school, lies to her female friends that she has a boyfriend when she doesn't, and asks the school's most handsome prince, Sata Kyoya (Yamazaki), to pretend to be her boyfriend. Kyoya agrees, on the condition that she be completely obedient to him...that's the story. Approximately 50 female fans, selected from a total of 6,940 applicants, participated in the event. When Yoshizawa appeared, screams of "Ahhh!" and "O-Ryo!" erupted in cheers. There was also a segment where Yoshizawa gifted one fan who won rock-paper-scissors a line from the movie, saying, "Maybe it's not good enough for me." Yoshizawa passionately appealed, "There are plenty of heart-fluttering scenes, but I also think it's a well-made film. I really want everyone to see it. If you think it's interesting, please spread the word by saying, 'This is amazing.'"
