How to Charge a Single Cell in an Unbalanced Multi Cell Lipo Pack

When a single cell in a lipo comes out of balance far enough that your charger won't recognize it, you probably have a bad lipo, but if not, here's how you can try to recover it, OR you can use this process to try to get your cells to a closer match, or balance. This video shows how I charged just ONE cell of a lipo using a special built cable. Please be very careful, as you CAN start a fire if you don't do it right. Some people have been hurt, and others have burned down their homes. Even if you do everything right, sometimes things go wrong, so very carefully try at your own risk. If in doubt, do this process outside, away from flammable materials, or safely dispose of your battery and replace it with a new one. Use as short an extension cord as you can to get the job done, and make sure you're circuit breaker is working, if you end up with a dead short. This would be bad, but at least you could yank the cord out of the wall. "4S" means 4 cells in SERIES. The "C" refers to CHARGE/DISCHARGE rates. The bigger number "C" is the Discharge Rate, and the smaller "C" is the Charge rate.
