http://www.pravmir.ru In the Year of Italian Tourism in Russia, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts presents a unique exhibition from the collection of the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo, one of the famous and original museums of Italy. For the first time in Russia, such a vivid panorama of the artistic achievements of the Renaissance is shown. The exhibition presents 58 works of painting by Renaissance masters, including works by Pisanello, Jacopo and Giovanni Bellini, Botticelli, Perugino, Bartolomeo Vivarini, Carpaccio, Vincenzo Foppa, Lorenzo Lotto, Giovanni Moroni and many others, which will allow the viewer to trace the development of Italian art in one of the most interesting and important moments in history. Chronologically, the exhibition covers the 15th and 16th centuries. Victoria Emmanuilovna Markova, chief researcher of the Old Masters Department of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Doctor of Art History, professor, honored artist, and knight of the Italian order "Star of Italy," told Pravmir about the exhibition, the Renaissance, and the masterpieces that are currently on display in the museum.
