It is a short and beautiful piano collection full of melodies, and he composed 6 albums of 8 songs each, and 1 song composed of cello and piano. There were times when they were called with titles depending on the content, but only a few songs were titled by Mendelssohn himself. As can be seen in many romantic piano small pieces, there are many types of melodies similar to songs followed by simple accompaniment. 곡 설명 : 멘델스존의 '무언가'는 말 그대로 가사가 없는 노래라는 뜻이며, 짧고 아름다운 선율로 가득찬 피아노 소품집인데 각 8곡씩 6집을 작곡하였고, 첼로와 피아노로 구성된 1곡을 함께 구성하였다. 각 내용에 따라 표제를 붙여 불린 적도 있으나 멘델스존 본인이 직접 붙인 제목은 몇 곡 안된다. 낭만파의 피아노 소곡에서 많이 볼 수 있듯 노래와 비슷한 멜로디에 단순한 반주가 따른 형식의 것이 많다.
