It’s been 5 years since I became a mom. In the middle of busy days, work, and parenting, I realized that somewhere along the way, I had quietly forgotten about “me.” This Christmas, my husband and I finally attended his company’s Christmas party together. For the first time in a long while, I laughed freely, danced, and truly enjoyed the night. After 5 years, my hidden spark was finally released. The next day, I also visited the tallest apartment building in Victoria, Canada, where one of my coworkers lives. The view from the window was absolutely unbelievable. Even while living an ordinary life as an immigrant, a mom, and a working woman, moments like this, where I reconnect with myself, feel incredibly precious.
