As the ayu fishing season draws to a close in late October, the number of rivers where fishing is possible narrows considerably. Yuji Takahashi headed to the Tenmoku River in Kagoshima Prefecture, enjoying the end of the season with some large ayu. While the Tenmoku River is typically a popular spot for catching a large number of wild ayu, this year's numbers are low. However, because of this, the individual fish are getting larger. The end of the season was marked by a flurry of large ayu, some of which could reach 100cm. This program aired on December 12, 2016.
