Talk Africa: Endangered species protection in Kenya

Earth’s biodiversity is in crisis. Scientists predict that if human activity continues without drastic change, between 1/3 and 1/2 of all species will face extinction by the end of this century. Africa is home to remarkable biodiversity - 1/5 of the world’s mammal, bird, and plant species are found here. Sadly, many of Africa's enigmatic animals such as elephants, lions, mountain gorillas, pangolins, chimpanzees and rhinos are endangered. So, how do we reverse the trend of biodiversity loss? On this special edition of Talk Africa filmed on location inside the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, we’ll meet some of the characters at the forefront of Africa’s biodiversity conservation effort.
