While it's quite similar to drawing on white paper, you may need to adjust your perspective and techniques to create the same effects on black paper. You will find yourself using lighter colors or applying more layers than you normally would. When drawing on a dark surface, you can create a light and medium tones by drawing in a darker color than you would use on light paper. It’s important not to rub the paper too hard but work in light layers instead.
