September 12, 1966 - Family Affair Pilot Opening and Last Scene w/ Closing
September 12, 1966 was the first date that Family Affair first aired on CBS television. It was one of the first series that was TOTALLY aired in color in 1966. I believe that the reason they chose colorful jewels at the opening was to show off the cool new COLOR televisions.
