Bismillahirrahmanirrahim Peace be upon you, peace be upon you Best wishes for Ramadan 1447 H: Students of the Nurussalam Modern Islamic Boarding School Brighten the Belitang Route with Messages of Kindness Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H, the Nurussalam Modern Islamic Boarding School in Sidogede, Belitang, held a lively Ramadan Tarhib event on Monday (February 16, 2026). All students and teachers took to the streets in a sympathy parade that traversed the route from Sidoanu, Gumawang, to Harjowinangun. There was something unique about this year's parade. The participants were neatly arranged by class, with each group led by their respective homeroom teachers. Throughout the journey, the students enthusiastically carried creative banners bearing various motivational prayer slogans and moral messages. This sight attracted the attention of passersby, making the parade not just a procession, but an effective visual da'wah medium within the community. This activity was officially opened by the Principal of the Nurussalam Modern Islamic Boarding School, KH. Drs. Makinuddin. In his remarks, he emphasized that this parade was not just a leisurely stroll, but a reflection of the students' morals within the community. He advised the students to maintain good manners and politeness throughout the journey. Especially when the group passes hospitals, please maintain calm and pray for our sick brothers and sisters for a speedy recovery. This activity aims to announce the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH, which is just a few days away. Besides encouraging the community to prepare, this parade also serves as an opportunity for the students to set their intentions so they can carry out their fasting worship to the fullest. Through this Tarhib (Islamic observance), the Nurussalam Modern Islamic Boarding School family hopes that the entire OKU Timur community will welcome this month of forgiveness with pure hearts and a high spirit of worship. In addition to serving as a forum for Islamic outreach, this event also marks the beginning of the Islamic boarding school's special program during Ramadan 1447 H. Despite fasting, classroom activities continue as usual. However, the Islamic boarding school has prepared a special program for senior students: KMI's fifth-grade students will focus on Fathul Kutub (classical book reviews) to deepen their Arabic language skills and literacy in the ancient books. KMI's sixth-grade students will participate in the Qiroati Material Deepening program. For sixth-grade male students, the activity will be centered at the Nurussalam 2 Campus in Margodadi Village.
