Fiesta de Los Pastores

It is a very special festivity for the people of Herreños, where the Shepherds together with their patron saint the Virgen de Los Reyes, perform a procession accompanied by dressers and dancers, around the Caracol Mountain, where a livestock auction and a brotherhood meal are held. One of the oldest festivities in El Hierro, which marks the end of an important cycle in the world of livestock, the breeding cycle, the renewal of the herd, time to arrange and walk to other greens, to collect the harvest and the languishing of milk and cheese.
