#6 Mit Finnlines von Kapellskär nach Naantali durch die Åland Inseln Sommer 2024 Finncanopus

Part 6 of our summer trip 2024: We set off from Kapellskär in Sweden, travelling across the Baltic Sea to Finland on the ‘Finncanopus’. ‘Finncanopus‘ is Finnlines’ newest ship and has only been in service for six months. We are curious to see what it looks like from the inside and we take a tour of it. After departure, we enjoy the beautiful summer weather on deck, and especially the journey through the Åland Islands. The journey past thousands of small islands, many of which only just rise above the surface of the water, is a marvellous experience. Sometimes there are only a few metres between the large ship and the rocks, and we constantly have to change course around the next island. A spectacle that we have not yet had enough of. Shortly before Turku, the ‘Viking Grace’ from Viking Line overtakes us; the ship had already accompanied us all the way across the Baltic Sea. As we enter Naantali, we pass the Meyer shipyard in Turku and can take a look at the ‘Star of the Seas’, the latest ship to be built here for the Royal Carribean shipping company. Have fun watching!
