Aathira is an internationally acclaimed Prodigy Violinist of the present generation from India. Hailing from a renowned family of musicians in Kerala, she has an enviable musical lineage as the grand daughter of the illustrious Vidwan Shri Gopala Pillai, fabulous musician of yesteryears who belonged to the renowned Tanjore Tradition of Carnatic Music. She trainned under her renowned grandfather SangithaVidwan Shri Gopala Pillai and father Sangita Vidwan Sri K C Krishna on Carnatic Violin and Vocal and stormed into the musicworld starting her concert career as a Classical Violin Soloist at the tender age of nine years winning wide acclaim and rave reviews. She is known for her divinely haunting musical improvisations blended with supreme control of the Violin that made the Legend Dr M Balamuralikrishna remark "Aathira is a Born Violinist". Aathira's Music underlines the Dynamic Identity of Violin in its fullest brilliance. Along with her Classical Violin Concerts, Aathira (The Week Magazine's Youth Icon of India) is equally known for her versatility in performing wide musical genres that she incorporates in her Contemporary Music Band performing Tran global Fusion. Aathira is the rare recipient of many awards including the prestigious GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for her unique 32hr long Non-Stop Carnatic Violin Solo Concert dedicated to Global Peace and Harmony.
