It's important to strengthen your glutes because they tend to weaken. This forces the back muscles to compensate, which can lead to tension and back pain. The psoas, our hip flexor, also plays an important role as an antagonist. Weak glutes increase pressure and tension in the psoas, which negatively impacts hip mobility.
