Como Manter COBRA VENENOSA Longe do seu Terreno — 10 Jeitos Antigos da Roça que FUNCIONAM DE VERDADE
🔗 Save money with old-fashioned country methods — grab Seu Bento's Notebook, with all the recipes and tips written down neatly: Saturday morning, late June. You go out onto the porch in your flip-flops, coffee mug in hand. Three steps from the ladder, coiled in the shade of the plant pot, is a jararaca snake — still, clay-colored, with a flat head, right where your grandson's foot would step in three minutes. You move away slowly. You call the fire department. A week later another one appears, in the same spot. And then it clicks: where there's a jararaca, there's a nest. The snake wasn't just passing through — it was LIVING there, because the yard offered everything it needed. In Brazil, there are more than 31,000 snakebite accidents every year, and those who get hurt the most are farm workers — people like us (data from the Ministry of Health / Butantan Institute). Most snakebites happen in the yard, the barn, the chicken coop, near the house. I'll be straight with you. Mothballs don't work and are harmful to children and animals. Ultrasonic devices have no proven effectiveness. Those little packets of snake repellent from agricultural supply stores are just wasted money – the people at Butantan, Embrapa, and universities say so on paper. What really works is removing the three things every snake needs: food (rats), a hiding place, and a warm spot to bask in the sun. Remove those three, and the snake will leave on its own. That's how people in the countryside have been doing it for generations – no expensive poison, no over-the-counter products, just a weekend of careful attention that completely transforms the yard. In this video, I'll show you 10 ways, one by one, separated by what actually repels snakes: GROUP 1 — Tidying up the yard (the 7 strongest): ✔ Keep the grass short, always — tall grass is a snake's path; mow it close to the ground, including the edge of the fence. ✔ Remove debris and junk — wood, tiles, scrap metal, and firewood leaning against the house are snake nests. ✔ Seal cracks — snakes can pass through a gap the size of a finger; pack steel wool and seal with foam. ✔ Get rid of rats — the most important: snakes follow rats; No rats, no snakes ✔ Closed trash can and collected feed — leftover food turns into rats, rats turn into snakes ✔ Prune bushes — low branches are hiding places and bridges for snakes to climb the wall ✔ Keep animals away from the house — scattered corn attracts rats near the porch GROUP 2 — Real barrier (1 method): ✔ Anti-snake fence — fine-mesh galvanized wire mesh, buried with the edge folded outwards; to the corner where not even a snake can be GROUP 3 — Old-fashioned recipe (1 method, honestly): ✔ Sulfur, garlic, pepper, cloves and cinnamon — helps TOGETHER with the rest, but alone it doesn't solve the problem; reapply after rain GROUP 4 — The natural ally (1 method): ✔ Barn cat + guinea fowl — hunt rats and give the alarm about snakes; This is what nobody sells you in a jar, that's why it works. Honest scope, written straight: snake repellent products and powder don't really work. Homemade recipes only help as an extra layer. What proves it is working in the yard — mowing, cleaning, filling holes and getting rid of the rats. The back-of-the-envelope calculation: pest control and snake repellent powder cost between R$300 and R$600 per year (and don't solve the problem). The methods in this video cost almost nothing — a handful of steel wool, a roll of wire mesh, and a weekend of work that lasts for years. There's no money in teaching you that the powder in the little bag doesn't work. There's A LOT of money in selling you that little bag every year, every summer, for the rest of your life. That's why the old, cheap method stays quietly in the backyard while the family wastes money. ⚠️ Found a venomous snake? Don't try to kill or catch it. Call the fire department (193). If someone gets bitten, don't cut, don't suck, don't tie—run to the hospital. The antivenom is free through the SUS (Brazilian public health system), made at Butantan Institute. 👇 Tell me in the comments: have you ever had an encounter with a venomous snake on your property? Which of the 10 methods will you start with first? And if your father or grandfather had their own way of scaring snakes away, share it with us—I read every single one. 🔔 Subscribe to the channel so you don't miss the next one: the old way to keep rats and mice away from the barn and food supplies forever. #Snake #Jararaca #LifeInTheCountry #Farm #Ranch #PestControl #SnakeRepelling #SeuBento #SecurityInTheCountryside #Countryside #Interior #BarnCat #GuineaFowl #Mussurana #OldWay #SelfSufficiency #SmallProperty #SimpleLife #CountryKnowledge #Countryside
