Piccalilli Rag by George A. Reeg Jr. (1912)
A great rag, and the best-known composition from Pittsburgh's George Adam Reeg Jr. (1887-1918). George was a pianist and piano salesman who lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for most of his short life before dying of natural causes at age 32. A competent composer, he left behind an assortment of ragtime, songs and parlor pieces with this rag being the most memorable. Piccalilli is a type of British relish made with pickles, vegetables and spices. The rag was published by Joseph M. Daly in Boston in 1912. Original score source was from the Charles Templeton Sheet Music Collection at Mississippi State University at this link: https://scholarsjunction.msstate.edu/... This is a reproduction of the original score. Thanks to w6wrwyxmvr for the great suggestion. Mitchy helped with the proofreading.
