【上越釣り】直江津海岸沖SUPフィッシング！

June 11th (Thursday) SUP Beginner Goto's Fishing Trip, Off the Coast of Naoetsu I finally caught my dream spring yellowtail in Joetsu! This time, I went fishing off the coast of Naoetsu in Joetsu using a SUP (stand-up paddleboard). The water depth was around 15m to 20m. Above the 10m line, there were signs of baitfish on the fish finder in several places. When I dropped a tai rubber lure, there were good reactions from rockfish and small sea bream, and I was having fun. Further offshore, at the 20m line, I spotted a flock of birds and a boil. The boil was creating huge splashes with a loud "BAM!" So I paddled hard! It was within range of my Daiwa floating minnow, so I cast! After reeling in about 5 times, I got a hit with a "BAM!" I'll never forget that spectacular hit! After fighting it for about 15-20 minutes, I finally managed to catch a yellowtail. I cast again after that and got a hit on a second one! But was there a rocky area nearby? Line break ➡ The PE line was completely shredded all the way up. Could it be a yellowtail?! Besides offshore casting, fishing for rockfish with tai rubber lures is also recommended off the coast of Naoetsu! We caught some nice-sized rockfish! (You might catch a lot of rockfish, but since they are bottom-dwelling fish, please refrain from overfishing. Overfishing will drastically reduce their population and make them unfishable. Please only catch what you intend to eat.)
