Drive-By Truckers – Live at WGBH

Patterson Hood (lead vocals, guitar) and Jay Gonzalez (keys, vocals) from Drive-By Truckers, perform songs from their new album Unraveling. This is their first release in 3 1/2 years, and is a journey from post-election blues, into the heart of Memphis, and onward into the year. Drive-By Truckers have deep roots in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Many of its members — including Jason Isbell, who was with the group for six years — are from there. Patterson's father, Dave Hood, is the co-founder of Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, and the bassist in the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, one of the most prominent American studio house bands from the 1960s - 1980s.
