You Are The Sunshine of My Life - Rita Reys

Rita Reys live at the North Sea Jazz Festival 1982 with the trio of her husband Pim Jacobs performing Stevie Wonder's You Are The Sunshine Of My Life. The song was one of Stevie Wonder's hit tunes ten years earlier, in 1972. Rita performed it regularly during this period of her career, as several other jazz vocalist did as well such as Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Rita also recorded the song with the Metropole Orchestra, arranged and conducted by Rogier van Otterloo. During her career jazz singer Rita Reys performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival for over twenty times. In 1991 she won the festival's Bird Award, which was also awarded to Pim Jacobs five years later.
