How to Install Wire Shelving Installing wire shelving can be a relatively straight forward process if you know the details upfront. In this video, I install ClosetMaid wire shelving in a bedroom closet. We will cover all the tools you will need for closet installation as well as all of the closet shelving components; including fasters and supports. We start the closet installation by marking closet shelf height and creating a level line across the back wall of the closet. Then we drill our holes for the wall anchors. Then we install the wall anchors and attach the shelf. Then we level the shelf and mark the location for our side wall brackets. Once marked, we drill our holes and install the side wall brackets. Finally, we install our long supports on the underside of the shelf. Be sure to watch the whole video, because there are lots of tips sprinkled throughout this video.
