Yet more classic cars of the 1950s and 1960s photographed during those times make up this, the 7th instalment in the Original Photos of British Cars 1950s - 1960s series here on the Old Classic Car Youtube channel. As with the previous vids, family favourites from the likes of Ford, Morris and Vauxhall, rub door handles with sportier gems such as a Lotus 7 & Elan, a one-off special, MGA roadster, and a Triumph TR3. Also included are photos of Austin's rival to the Land Rover, the 4x4 Austin Gipsy, and period scenes of a BMC service facility where all manner of BMC/Nuffield cars are in evidence. Once again a big thanks to everyone that provided photos for this upload, it's fascinating to receive scans of your old photos along with a spot of background information on the cars and people that might feature in them. If you have any old photos that you're able to scan, taken in the 1950s or 1960s, it'd be great to see them and if they are used, are always credited to their owner(s). If you like classic British cars, hopefully there'll be something in this series of vids to interest you. Photographing classic cars at shows today is good and I do it regularly, but you can't beat looking at original photos to really understand what it was like to own and drive these now-collected cars when they were just normal cars with no nostalgia attached to them.
