Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed. It changes everything for the person who loves them. Kate and Cordelia met in 1981. They built a life together, full of love, intelligence, and joy. Then, slowly, things began to change. For Cordelia, it started with small moments — things Kate would never normally forget. Then came the diagnosis. And nine years of caring for the person she loved. Today, Cordelia says: “There are parts of me missing.”
