Everything We Ate On An Indian Food Tour in London 🇬🇧

Back in London and this time we made a full day out of one thing: Indian food. Last time we were here, George and I had one of the best Indian meals we’d ever had, so on this trip we wanted to dive deeper and book a full South Asian food tour through London’s East End. This was such a fun way to experience the range of flavors that shape London’s food scene, especially around Brick Lane, where the Bangladeshi community has had such a strong influence. Along the way, we got to try a mix of Bangladeshi food, Pakistani dishes, and Indian eats while also learning more about the distinctions between these cuisines, the spice trade, and the cultural history behind the neighborhood. The exact tour we went on! (NOT Sponsored) Tour: London Walking Indian Food Tour With ‪@Viator‬ !!! Link: https://www.viator.com/tours/London/I... Stops from this tour: Cafe Grill (Bangladeshi) Mango lassi Piyaju (fried lentil fritters) Black chana (spiced chickpeas) Eastern Eye (Pakistani) Puri wrap / chana puri (crispy flatbread with spiced chickpeas) Chicken korai (traditional curry) Saag lamb Madjubon Sweet Centre (Indian sweets) Laddu Milk cake Pistachio burfi Lahore Kebab House (Pakistani restaurant) Spiced lamb chops Chicken kebabs Garlic naan Some of the best parts of the day weren’t just the food, but the experience itself. We got to sample a bunch of South Asian dishes across multiple stops, smell and identify different spices, visit a sweets shop, share desserts as a group, and even go behind the scenes in the kitchen at Lahore Kebab House. Watching the naan being made in the tandoor oven and seeing the lamb chops grilled up close was so cool!!! Other restaurants / places referenced: Tamil Crown - LOVEEEE THIS SPOT! Check it out in our London Vlog! Tamil Prince - Tamil Crown is Tamil Prince’s sister restaurant. We haven’t tried this spot, but it’s famous and a must-try we’d love to check off our list next time we’re in London. Dishoom - ALSO LOVE THIS SPOT! Check out our full review! London has some pretty incredible South Asian food. I can’t wait for the day we travel to South Asia and enjoy the food in its birthplace. One thing we really appreciated on this tour was learning that while Bangladeshi, Indian, and Pakistani cuisines are all distinct, what absolutely unites them is delicious food. ✨More of me✨ TikTok:   / jasminebellepak   Instagram:   / jasminepak
