Residents complain of an unbearable stench in the entryway and even in their own apartments. However, appeals to various authorities have yielded no results, despite Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) having recorded elevated ammonia levels in the affected building. Irina Afanasyevna, the subject of our story, assures us that she carefully selected the house to move to two years ago: a well-maintained courtyard and proximity to her family were her top priorities. The pensioner couldn't have imagined that such problems could lurk behind the cozy facade. She has already filed two lawsuits against the negligent cat-loving neighbor, but both were dismissed without review.
