Barra to Berneray - Boats, Beaches and a Missing Lighthouse. My Outer Hebrides Adventure.

I set off to explore the stunning islands of Barra, Berneray and South Uist in the Outer Hebrides - travelling by boats, walking along white sandy beaches...and attempting (unsuccessfully) to find one of the most remote lighthouses in Scotland. Along the way I camped in Barra, stayed at the Howmore Hostel in South Uist and John's Bunkhouse in Berneray - both incredible stays and a real highlight of the trip. From island hopping to getting lost in the wilds, this Hebridean adventure had it all....except the lighthouse! Don't forget to watch my Day Trip to St Kilda after, it was amazing! Cheers, Ix
