Hidden Gem Near Mumbai – Asava Fort Trek & Travel Guide

In this video we went on an adventure trek through the unexplored jungle trail to Asava fort at a height of around 1000 ft above sea level situated in Boisar (Maharashtra). This is a simple climb with breathtaking views at every turn. The fort was used as a watch tower in ancient times. Although in ruins today the fort provides a glimpse of its past glory with its huge water tanks, cannons and fortification. How to reach: Base village (Baripada), landmark (Viraj Profiles Private Limited) Public transport: Catch local train going towards Dahanu and get down at Boisar railway station- Catch sharing rickshaw or local bus till base location. Private vehicle: Continue on NH48 towards Chillar Phata- Take left turn from Chillar phata and continue towards Boisar railway station to reach base location.
