Tre Schiavi Bresciani catturati dai Turchi

► BECOME A COMPANION👉 https://ko-fi.com/bresciagenealogia Three Brescians, enslaved by the Turks in the 17th century, tell their story before the Inquisition Tribunal in Venice. A forgotten page in our local history. In this video, we discover what Mediterranean slavery was—the little-known phenomenon that for three centuries affected hundreds of thousands of people between the Christian and Ottoman coasts—and why, although to a lesser extent than the seaside cities, even the Lombards were not immune. Through archival documents discovered by historian Giorgio Danesi, we retrace the stories of Andrea Rossi from Valcamonica, Carlo Presti from Brescia, and Francesco Stefani from Vobarno: three men captured, enslaved, forced to convert to Islam, and finally escaped to re-embrace their faith and their homeland. Special thanks to Giorgio Danesi, lawyer and researcher, author of the article "Three Brescian Slaves," published in Misinta magazine no. 62 (2024), for sharing his research with us and for answering my questions. ► SHOP 👉 https://ko-fi.com/bresciagenealogia/shop ► SOCIAL 👉 https://linktr.ee/bresciagenealogia ► WORDPRESS 👉 https://bresciagenealogia.wordpress.com/ 🎵 MUSIC: Unicorn Heads - Waking to Reality Aakash Gandhi - The Rising Kevin MacLeod - Magic Escape Room https://incompetech.com/ ► CHAPTERS 00:00 Call to Adventure 01:10 Mediterranean Slavery 04:58 Three Slaves from Brescia 14:22 The Redemption of the Slaves #slaves #slavery #historyofbrescia #brescia #bresciaslaves #serenissima #galleys #barbarianpirates #muslimpirates #islam #war #piracy #muslims #abjuration #history #bresciahistory #bresciano #bresciastorica #documentary #BresciaGenealogy #Fossadri
