The plan was to cover 120 km. Since I knew that my biggest challenge wasn't the distance but the 26-hour time limit plus a 1-hour time cutoff, I needed to reach aid station 3 (VP3) in under 12 hours to complete the remaining 60 km in 15 hours. I was on schedule until 45 km... after that, all hope was dashed. A shame. So, I ended up covering 75 km in my 52nd extreme march. I had many pleasant conversations, made some great new hiking friends—in short, a wonderful weekend.
