Introductions of persons at the head table include Mr. William Lester Bowie, Sr.; W. Lester Bowie, Jr.; Edna Bowie Dykes; Mr. Gary Allen, president of the Bowie-Thomas Reunion; Miss Belva Bowie, daughter of Lester Bowie, Jr; and Debbie, wife of Lester Bowie, Jr. Byron Bowie plays a saxophone solo. Leonard Diggs sings “I Miss My Time With You.” Lester Bowie, Jr., is introduced as the leading trumpeter, according to Esquire Magazine.
