Life is rough no matter how old you are, but that doesn’t mean we have to be afraid. Doors close, things change, but in the end love conquers hate and we can stick together until then.💞 The world is pretty crazy right now, but whenever I start feeling overwhelmed I like to think about the promises God has for those who belong to him: He promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8) He promises to help you and to hold you when you are afraid (Isaiah 41:10) He promises to give you rest (Matthew 11:28-29) He promises to forgive our sins and to make us new (1 John 1:9) He promises eternal life to anyone who believes in his Son Jesus (John 3:16) He promises to be your refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1) I know this might just sound like religious jibber jabber, but my life would be so much worse without Jesus in it. Our world is a mess, people are struggling, and there’s no miraculous ladybug to fix it. But that’s where Jesus comes in. He loves the world so much, even though we are so messed up and full of hate, that he died to give us a way to have a restored relationship with God and the promise of a future home and perfect life with him in heaven.
