Tu Es Petra - Henry Mulet - John Pemberton - Organ

Set in a quintessential English market town, Beverley Minster is arguably among the greatest Gothic churches in Europe. The present four manual Hill organ is tonally largely as Hill left it in 1916. This instrument contained fourteen registers from the former John Snetzler organ of 1769. The organ was extensively restored with electro-pneumatic action by Hill, Norman, & Beard in 1962 who also carried out some tonal alterations. This recording, made in 1983, is on the organ as restored by HN&B in 1962. More recently further restoration work has been carried out by Wood of Huddersfield.
