DIY Maple Syrup Filtering Vacuum
DIY Maple Syrup Filtering Vacuum. Filtering Maple Syrup can take a long time and it is one of the most important steps in making wonderful Maple Syrup that has great color and no sand in it. The filtering process can take a very long time if you are doing it by a gravity feed method. This year we wanted to up our game a little and improve our Syrup making setup. One thing we realized, to cut down on time and improve overall quality, we needed to change how we filter. Don't get me wrong, we filtered for five years using the drip method, and if that is what you do, that works fine. We simply wanted to refine the syrup and the process. We started looking into Vacuum Filters and soon realized, number one. they were outside our budget, and number two, why not build my own. So, that is what we have done. Hopefully this video helps someone make their own as well. It isn't difficult or expensive. We saved more than 80% of the cost by building this ourselves. Thanks for watching and enjoy the video.
