I Was Making Art Too Complicated… So I Tried This

Have I been making art harder than it needs to be? In this quiet art vlog, I open a small Jackson’s order, try some simple graphite sketching in my dad’s garden, get completely rained off—and finally paint the pond’s beautiful waterlilies in gouache in my tiny A6 sketchbook. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been looking for ways to make beginning a little easier. Sometimes that means taking little more than a pencil into the garden.
