BARILOCHE en Mayo. Vale la pena viajar en el mes mas barato???

On this 3-day getaway, we'll see if it's worth traveling to San Carlos de Bariloche, Rio Negro Province, in May, when everything is cheaper. Airfare is on sale, hotels have reduced prices and promotions, and there are few tourists. The weather is unpredictable; there's no snow, and temperatures are low but not excessively cold. It's also the month when locals take their vacations, so the range of restaurants and activities decreases considerably. We'll explore: CIRCUITO CHICO (Small Circuit): The Circuito Chico is an unmissable 60 km scenic drive (24 km of official circuit) that starts from downtown Bariloche and heads west. It offers a perfect synthesis of Andean landscapes: forests, glacial lakes, and mountains. COLONIA SUIZA (Swiss Colony): This is a historic town founded in the late 19th century by European immigrants, located just 25 km from downtown Bariloche. Famous for its picturesque wooden houses and craft market, it is renowned for its curanto, a traditional dish of indigenous origin. During peak season, it is overcrowded with tourists and vendors. Parking is scarce, and local businesses charge exorbitant rates. (Wikipedia) CRAFT BREWERIES: San Carlos de Bariloche is the national capital of craft beer in Argentina, producing over one million liters annually using pure snowmelt water and Patagonian hops. The local beer scene is vast, but there are several iconic breweries, mainly located in the city center and along Avenida Bustillo or the Circuito Chico (Small Circuit), offering stunning views. (Bariloche Tourism) CIVIC CENTER: This is the historical, cultural, and tourist heart of the city, inaugurated on March 17, 1940, as the first complex of its kind in Argentina. Designed by architect Ernesto de Estrada, it stands out for its Alpine-inspired architecture that combines cypress and larch wood with tufa stone extracted from Cerro Carbón. Its open plaza, facing the majestic Nahuel Huapi Lake, is the most iconic image and the essential starting point for any visitor.
