Its leaves are as big as fans, and its top disappears into thick clouds. Jack feels scared, but he decides to climb up and see what is above. Above the clouds, Jack discovers a huge gray castle. Inside the dark and cold castle, he hears giant footsteps shaking the ground. A giant appears and roars that he smells a human. Jack hides carefully and sees a white goose laying golden eggs and a golden harp playing beautiful music by itself. When the giant falls asleep, Jack grabs the goose and the harp and runs. The giant wakes up and chases him with loud thumping steps. Jack slides down the beanstalk as fast as he can and calls for his mother to bring the axe. Together, Jack and his mother chop down the beanstalk, and the giant disappears forever. From that day on, Jack and his mother are no longer poor. The golden goose helps them, and the magic harp fills their home with gentle music. Jack learns that hope is good, but we should not rush.
